One of my top things to do in Belgium was visit Brugges, a storybook town just outside of Brussels. It has canals running through it, similar to Venice but on a much smaller scale. We loved walking the streets and checking out the architecture.
We stumbled across a farmers market, but this one had a twist: live animals! You could buy rabbits, chicks, ducks, and hens/roosters. Most were just a few euros. Ella and Miles wanted to buy a few things, but they just wouldn't fit in our bags. Maybe next time, kids.
Next up was the canal tour. It was a great way to see the city and learn about some of the buildings along the way. What do you think the kids thought? Hmm. The smiles say it all.
