We were on the fence about Pompeii, afraid it might be a little scary for the kids. We were wrong. The ruins were so interesting. The Rick Steeves walking tour helped make sense of what we were seeing. Ella loved learning that they had fast food joints back then! She even made us a pretend meal. Despite it being a million degrees, we had a great time. Miles coined the new phrase, " I am a giant sweatball," and everyone shoved their heads under the fountains.
