First stop: Volterra, another small Tuscan medieval village. The owners of our rental suggested we go here. It was great walking up and down the narrow streets. Today, we were on the hunt for boar salami, a delicacy in this area, and vampires, of course. (Volterra was a location from the Twilight series.)
Since San Gimignano was close by, we decided to make a stop there, too. But after walking around the very hilly Volterra, we grabbed some gelato and tried the local wine before heading home.
