Greece Budget

September 1, 2015

Accommodations: $2665

We splurged on an all-inclusive resort in Crete, a hotel in Paros, and Airbnb in Athens.

Travel/Car: $616

The boat hopping in Greece is more than we had anticipated! We had to rent a car in Crete because the hotel was 2 hours from the dock. Live and Learn! Also included are gas and trains in Athens.

Food: $ 842

The all-inclusive included food of course so this is a bit lower. Though we did eat out at least once a day.

Entertainment:  $329

This seems like a lot to me, since we didn't do much for a week in Crete. But in Athens, we got a 3-day sightseeing pass and went on a snorkeling trip to Paros.

Other:  $21

This includes postcards,/stamps, clothing, SIM cards, and trinkets.

Greece proved to be more expensive than we had thought it would be. If we had to do it again, we would pick islands closer to the mainland or go to a few in one area.
